Palmyra Skin Clinic is a specialised medical clinic dedicated to the prevention, early detection and treatment of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers. The practice provides a full range of personalised and comprehensive skin cancer services – including skin cancer checks, surgical & non-surgical skin cancer treatments. We aim to provide exceptional skin cancer services to the community of Perth.
The position is part-time (2-3 days per week) or casual on a job share basis with the flexibility to cover sick leave and annual leave.
We are looking for an exceptional nurse to work at modern skin cancer clinic with 2 experienced and accredited full time skin cancer doctors. The ideal candidate should have an interest in skin cancer care and a desire to learn new skills and progress in this field.
Essentials:
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA
- Excellent communication skills to staff and patient with a friendly and caring attitude
- A very high level of organisational and time management skills are critical for this role
- A strong work ethic, integrity, commitment and enthusiasm to contribute to a small team as well as to the business
- Always reliable, responsible and punctual

- We utilise a range of medical software which requires strong computer skills
- The salary for the role will be negotiable dependent on skills and level of experience.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Surgical assisting in skin cancer surgery (including complex reconstruction - flaps and grafts) and non surgical treatments
- Post operative wound care such as wound review, dressing change and removal of sutures
- Photodynamic therapy and operating medical equipments/machines (training provided)
- Accurate and adequate medical records and entry for log books
- Triage patient enquiries and concerns
- Operate recall systems and reminders
- Cleaning of surgical equipment and sterilisation
- Check medical stock and ordering
- Assisting with billings as required

Highly Regarded:
- Previous experience in a skin cancer clinic or surgical clinic. Previous experience in a general practice setting can also be help.
