THE OPPORTUNITY
An opportunity has presented through growth for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the Jem Health team as an Occupational Health Assessor (OHA). Your role will be to provide exceptional service, consistent quality and attention to detail in the delivery of employment-related health assessments and Occupational Health initiatives.
We are currently seeking a full-time applicant (or a couple of permanent part time applicants) to work in our new office west of Melbourne as well as our Melbourne central office. We can be flexible and work around study, second jobs and home commitments for the right applicant(s).
Jem Health, Health Assessor staff are responsible for the following key areas of responsibility (not limited to):
- Occupational Health Assessments including pre-employment medicals, audiometry, spirometry, ECGs, drug screening, functional capacity assessments and fitness testing.
- Timely and accurate reporting
- High level compliance and observation of privacy act
- Worker health checks
- General administration
- Monitoring and maintaining stock levels & equipment
- Health and wellness projects, initiatives, training and promotion
- Contribute to client relationship management, continuous improvement and business growth initiatives
- Commitment and compliance to strong safety culture
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In addition to demonstrating a genuine passion for health and safety - the successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following:
- Bachelor degree in Health Science (Nursing) or similar health discipline
- High interest in Occupational Health
- Registration/accreditation with AHPRA
- Current and maintained First Aid and CPR
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build rapport
- Intermediate to strong computer skills including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and using two screens.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Team contributor
- High level of professionalism
- A very high level of care and attention to detail
- Exceptional time management, organisation and ability to work autonomously & as a team.
- High level of emotional intelligence
Desirable but not essential Criteria:
- Experience/exposure to Occupational Health
- Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS
- Experience or Qualification in Audiometry
- Experience or Qualification in Spirometry
- Experience or Qualification in Drug and Alcohol Screening
- Drivers licence
