What you'll be doing
This position provides case management and assessment within the framework of a multidisciplinary team structure delivering time limited, specific, evidence based, community focused person centred care, with consideration to the specific needs of the target group of consumers referred to the Older People’s Community Mental Health Team.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

Selection Criteria * Registered Nurse with current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA.
- Demonstrated ability experience in the assessment and treatment of Older Persons presenting with complex Mental Health needs.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise professional knowledge and judgement in providing complex care requirements of consumers in this specialty field.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Sound knowledge of current legislation, practice standards, policies, and procedures relevant to Mental Health Care for older people.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including a sound knowledge and understanding of relevant health related information systems.
- Current unrestricted NSW driver's licence.
