How you will make an impact We have positions available for dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Oncology and Haematology Unit on a part-time basis. You will use your experience in the acute care setting and be interested in further developing these skills to deliver excellent patient care within the framework of the Cabrini Mission and Values. Our 20-bed Medical Oncology Ward is supported by a team of specialist trained staff including medical oncologists and haematologists. Admissions comprise elective and emergency patients with a variety of oncological conditions, ranging from elective chemotherapy through to palliative care, requiring both simple and complex intervention. Key responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care, administering medications and monitoring patients' condition
Participate in formal and informal educational opportunities to increase clinical knowledge and skills
Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
Assess, prioritize, and manage patient care effectively
About you Along with Nursing qualifications and current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, you will require the following attributes:
Minimum 2 years' experience in Oncology/Haematology (Essential)
Commitment to quality patient care and outcomes
Excellent customer service focus and communication skills
Excellent patient assessment, prioritization, and time management skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
Ability to handle sensitive issues effectively
