An excellent opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Recovery Registered Nurse to join the team at a private hospital in Northern Sydney. It's a permanent full-time or part-time position.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members;
- Providing education and support to patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.
- Current registration with the AHPRA;
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- Post Graduate Certificate in peri operative (or working towards);
- Understanding of the ACCORN standards and infection control;
- At least 2 years experience in Perioperative nursing as a Recovery/Anaesthetic Nurse;
- Time management skills, initiative, collegiality, teamwork, and collaboration;
- Previous experience within a private hospital setting will be well-regarded;
- Flexibility with shift allocations, timing plus on-call during the week and on-call on days off.

$35.46 -$49.79 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Sydney, provides world-class, Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 488 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department, a 20-bed general, and cardiothoracic ICU, 14 state-of-the-art theatres including cardiac catheter labs, a world-class education centre, a doctor's lounge, excellent staff facilities, a café, and car parking.
The Interventional Suite accommodates adult & paediatrics patients, for planned & unplanned procedures &/or surgery. It comprises 14 state-of-the-art operating theatres, including a hybrid theatre & a cardiothoracic theatre; 2 Cardiac Catheter Labs; 4 Procedure Rooms; a 41-bed Recovery Unit; Anaesthetics Service and a state-of-the-art Sterilising Services Department. The service currently operates 7 days, 08:00 to 21:30hrs.
