About the role:As the Registered Nurse - Recovery/Anaesthetics in this role, you'll be involved in preparing patients for surgery, administering and monitoring anaesthesia during procedures, and providing post-operative care.
This role includes assessing patients' vital signs, managing pain relief, supporting patients as they wake from anaesthesia, and ensuring a smooth and safe recovery process.
You'll work closely with anaesthetists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to changing patient conditions.
Preferred Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' current experience in anaesthetics/recovery nursing.
- Ability to provide high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced environment.
- AHPRA
- ANMAC (if overseas)
- Hold a relevant post-basic qualification or substantial experience in specialty or willing to work towards this
- ALS Competence
- At least 2 years of recent experience in this role. (If you are an overseas Nurse requiring 186 visa sponsorship, this is 3 years of recent experience in a comparable health system to Australia)
- Excellent Communication skills
- It is desirable that you hold a Postgraduate qualification in specialty, but. not essential
