About the role:
This is a rewarding role with the opportunity to deliver high-quality nursing care as a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, including:
- Enhance and develop skills in the rehabilitation specialty, enabling patients to return home to their everyday activities and participate in education, work, recreation, and meaningful life roles.
- Flexible, family-friendly rostering practices.
- Clinical Nurse education support is available on both morning and afternoon shifts.
- Make appropriate referrals to support patient requirements on discharge.
- Provide appropriate supervision and/or mentoring for staff as required.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and the changing status of the patient.
- Delegate aspects of care to ENs and AINs according to their competence and within their scope of practice.

Where you'll be working:
Kurri Kurri District Hospital is in the Lower Hunter Sector serving the communities of Kurri Kurri, Abermain, Weston, and Heddon Greta. The hospital provides a comprehensive range of services including medical, specialist surgical services, rehabilitation, emergency, and allied health services. Close proximity to world-class Hunter Valley Vineyards and only 2 hours drive north of Sydney with flights from the nearby Newcastle airport enable easy access to all major cities in Australia.

Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
