AddressRole Overview: As a Remote Area Nurse, you'll be at the forefront of healthcare delivery, providing vital medical services to communities often overlooked by traditional healthcare systems. Your responsibilities will include primary healthcare, emergency care, health education, and community outreach. You'll work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to address the unique healthcare needs of remote populations.
You will be well compensated with hourly rates up to $100/hour and receive free travel and accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive primary healthcare services to individuals and families in remote communities.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care and stabilisation.
- Conduct health assessments, screenings, and vaccinations.
- Provide health education and promote preventive healthcare practices within the community.
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers, government agencies, and community organizations to enhance healthcare access and outcomes.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years nursing experience with previous Remote Area nursing experience.
- Ability to drive a 4 x 4 vehicle and license
- Remote Emergency Care Course
- Maternity Emergency Care Course
- SA Understanding immunisations course or equivalent certificate
- Pharmacotherapeutics qualification
- Sexual Health experience preferred
- Child Health experience preferred
