Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse with Neurosurgery experience to join our team at the start of 2024.
As our Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse - Neurosurgery you will deliver exceptional nursing care to ensure excellent clinical outcomes and an industry leading patient experience.
You will take a leadership role in the coordination of nursing care and work in partnership with the multidisciplinary team providing supervision, direction and guidance.
As a Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:
- Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation
- Deliver evidence based nursing care
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and (AINs) to deliver patient care
- Proactively assess the perioperative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient
- Complete all required documentation in accordance with local and National Policies
To succeed in this role you should have the following skills and attributes;
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Scrub/Scout in neurosurgery operating theatres
- Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Commitment to quality patient care
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Exceptional computer skills
