We have opportunities available for highly motivated and experienced Scrub/ScoutRegistered Nurses to join our operating theatres. The positions are either full-time, part-time or casual working predominantly Monday to Friday.  Oncall and some weekend work is available to the periop nurses in Surgical Services. Experience in orthopaedics, cardiac, ophthalmic and/or general surgery skills are an advantage. The scrub scout nurse will play a pivotal role in planning and delivering nursing care to patients and work as part of the perioperative team.

You will bring your passion to the role, you will be a valued member of the multi-disciplinary team and will have the opportunity to participate in all learning and development activities and be exposed to the latest surgical and medical approaches, new technologies and integrated methods of patient care.

Your skills and experience:

As an outstanding Registered Nurse with managerial or leadership experience, you are equipped with a minimum five (5) years post graduate experience in nursing. Experience with pre and post-op management of elective acute surgical and/or catheter lab patients will be considered an advantage to this role.

Your skills will include:

  • Nurse with AHPRA registration

  • ACORN Membership an advantage

  • Excellent computer literacy and experience with electronic patient record system would be an advantage.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work within the interdisciplinary team.

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing workloads with in a complex environment.

  • Strong commitment to providing excellent clinical care and continued professional development.

Remuneration:

St. Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney Nurses' EA. Registered Nurse Year 1 – Year 8: $36.62 - $51.43 based on experience level and relevant qualifications + salary packaging + superannuation, exclusive of shift penalties or allowances.
