About the Opportunity
The Transition to Remote Practice is a program for Registered Nurses and Aboriginal Health Practitioners who are new to Remote area practice. The course is designed to prepare participants for Remote Practice by utilising existing experience and providing the necessary skills and knowledge to transition into a role with KWHB.
About You
- This position is well suited to someone who is a Registered Nurse (RN) with clinical experience, that is interested in transitioning to Remote Health Practice.
- Immunisation certificate or a willingness to obtain one,
- History of providing best practice care, ensuring quality and safety, as demonstrated in your current workplace.
- Have the knowledge and understanding of social determinants of health affecting Aboriginal people living in remote communities and the ability to communicate and work effectively with Aboriginal people and/or in a cross-cultural setting.
- You will need to be comfortable in an Adult Learning environment and keen to start the next stage of your career, with training and mentoring, as a Registered Nurse (RN).
