We are seeking a part-time Registered Nurse/Receptionist to join our General Practice. Our ideal candidates should have a passion for healthcare and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service to our patients with a growth mindset.
Tasks & responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
- Childhood Immunisations
- Chronic Disease GP Management Plans
- Health Care Assessments
- Wound Care & Dressings
- Skin Procedures, assisting in minor procedures/excisions as required
- Performing ECG/Spirometry/ Heart Health
- Womens Health (e.g. IUD &Implanon insertion/removal)
- Stock Control
- Maintaining a Tidy Workplace
- Infection Control
- Systems used: Best Practice / HotDocs
- Responsible Overseeing Recalls /Reminders
Requirements:
- Current Nurse Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Member of relevant professional organisation (APNA)
- Current Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Strong leadership / management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Receptionistduties and responsibilities:
- Answer the telephone in a courteous and professional manner
- Scheduling and organising patient appointments and data entry of patient information
- Calling and Discussing Information with Patients
- Processing Patients’ Billings/Receipts
- Fax, Scan, File documents, prepare documents
- Processing payments through EFTPOS, Medicare
- Any other administrative duties as directed by Practice Manager
We are a GP practice based in Helensvale. Opening hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. We are closed on all public holidays, and during the week between Christmas and New Years – we believe in family time!
