About the role

We are seeking experienced nurses to join our team at Mackay Private Hospital comprising of a 26 bed Medical/Rehabilitation Ward and an 8 bed Mental Health Ward. You will be responsible for the care of a diverse range of patients and will work with a multidisciplinary Rehabilitation team. Our small but growing hospital means each person is an integral part of the team and nursing positions are available in both our Rehabilitation/Medical and Mental Health Wards.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Registration with Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.

Required Personal Competences:

• Awareness and practice of legislation affecting nursing practice and health care.
• Strong focus on patient-centred, evidence-based nursing care.
• Demonstrated high standards of professional and ethical practice.
• Excellent collaboration and consultation skills with individuals, groups, significant others and the multidisciplinary heath care team. Emphasis on non-toxic inclusive behaviour.
• Flexibility and availability for roster development, including weekend and evenings if required
• Focus on service improvement and ongoing professional development, for delivery of excellent patient care and positive health outcomes.
• Promotes safety, security and personal integrity in the workplace.
• Commitment to develop expertise and undertake further studies
