Role Accountabilities: Comprehensive Patient Care: Provide compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to patients, promoting both physical and emotional well-being. As a member of the multidisciplinary team use critical assessments skills to ensure the delivery of comprehensive patient centred care. Collaborative Teamwork: Work seamlessly with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes and participate actively in rounds, contributing valuable insights and fostering open communication among team members. Communication: foster effective communication within the healthcare team, ensuring that relevant information is shared in a timely manner and communicate with patients and families with empathy and professionalism. Patient and Family Education: Empower patients and their families through clear and accessible education about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care and offer guidance on self-care practices and assist in navigating the healthcare journey. Exceptional Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to rigorous documentation standards and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements, contributing to the delivery of high-quality and safe patient care. Your experience and skills: High level of clinical competence in an acute setting Well-developed communication skills to convey complex medical information in a clear and understandable manner with an ability to negotiate and influence Excellent team building skills and capabilities Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload demands Effective problem-solving skills and an ability to make timely and informed decisions in high-pressure situations Ability to effectively work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams A minimum of 1 year post graduate experience in medical nursing Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based practice and critical thinking Mandatory Qualification/Professional Registration/Other Requirements: Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) Basic Life Support (BLS) Available to work morning, afternoon, and night shifts in a 24/7 period (rotating roster).
