Registered Nurses - Oncology | Melbourne

New chances await Registered Nurses with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care to join the supportive and diverse team within the Oncology ward at a private hospital in Melbourne. Multiple full-time and part-time roles are available.
ABOUT THE ROLE As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
• Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
• Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
• Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
• Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
• Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current Registration with AHPRA;
• At least 2 years of experience in Medical Oncology, Palliative Care, or complex cases;
• Competency in chemotherapy administration will be highly regarded;
• Working with Children check;
• Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Works well independently and within a team;
• Basic computer skills.

REMUNERATION Salaries range between $35.33 and $47.25 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in southeastern Melbourne, is a state-of-the-art 147-bed hospital, comprising a 24/7 Emergency Department, 6-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 9-bed specialized Coronary Care Unit (CCU), 12 bay Day Infusion Unit and 5 specialized inpatient units. – including Oncology, Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, and Rehabilitation Services.
