City Eye Centre is a well-established specialist ophthalmology practice in Brisbane. We specialize in cataract surgery, macular degeneration treatments, retinal detachment emergency care and pride ourselves in having provided the highest level of eye care for over the past 20 years.
We provide a calm and well-appointed practice environment for our patients and are equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment. We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Nurse who is passionate about patient care to join our team. The role is best suited for an experienced Ophthalmic Nurse who has previous experience in ophthalmology.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Initial patient workup including case history, medications, vision and eye pressure assessment
- Diagnostic assessments including OCT, wide-field retinal imaging, A-scans and visual field
- Assisting with minor procedures including injections and laser treatments
- Sterilization of medical instruments
- Maintaining clinical stock
Attributes & Experience
- Prior experience in ophthalmology
- Current AHPRA registration
- Outstanding clinical and communication skills
- Strong rapport building with patients
