Registered Or Clinical Psychologist

If so, Wise Mind Psychology is seeking a kind, dedicated, and experienced psychologist (Clinical Psychologist, registered psychologist, Or Clinical psychology registrar) to join our growing team as a contractor. 

Wise Mind Psychology Newcastle is a modern, purpose-built psychology clinic located in New Lambton. Our thoughtfully curated private practice was built on the values of professional excellence, empathy, and respect. 

We pride ourselves on delivering collaborative, person-centered, and evidence-based therapy and assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. 

Our expanding practice offers a wide variety of work, and we support our clinicians in pursuing their clinical interests and passions.

• Flexibility in diary scheduling, offering customisable workweeks ranging from 2-5 days, with an initial phased start option of 1-2 days, allowing for gradual workload increases.
• Highly competitive remuneration, with earnings potential of $130-$180 per hour.

• Strong knowledge of various therapeutic approaches and the ability to tailor treatment plans according to each client's specific needs.
• Demonstrated ability to build therapeutic rapport with various clients and work from a compassionate, trauma-informed perspective.
• Experience in the assessment, formulation, and treatment of a range of psychological disorders/difficulties using evidence-based practices.
• Excellent communication and professional report-writing skills.
• Ongoing commitment to personal and professional development.
• Monitor and evaluate clients' progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Appropriate registration with the Psychology Board of Australia/AHPRA
• Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
• Current Professional Indemnity & Public Liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
• Registered Medicare provider (or eligible to apply)
• Current National Police Check (National Police Certificate)
