We are seeking passionate and skilled Registered or Enrolled Nurses to be an integral part of our operating theatre. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the surgical care of our patients and work in a highly specialized and collaborative environment.
The position: Ongoing, Part-Time. 48.0 hours per fortnight - Monday - Friday + weekend on call
As part of our supportive and skilled Perioperative team, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of the perioperative patients in a competent and professional manner. This role will enable you to rapidly expand your nursing skills with exposure to a range of areas including PACU, Scrub/Scout and Anaesthetics. Your days will always be dynamic and engaging!

What you need:
- Current AHPRA registration as Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse
- Acute nursing experience and experience in Surgical or Perioperative nursing is required
- NMBA approved qualification in intravenous medication administration
- Demonstrated competence in acute and/or surgical nursing including understanding and experience in clinical handover, escalation of care and patient education
- A sound understanding of the functions and responsibilities of the perioperative nurse including care of the unconscious patient

The unit:
The Perioperative Suite at BRHS provides a full range of services for both local and visiting specialists. These include General surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Urology, Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, Vascular, Paediatrics, Dental and Gastroenterology.
