MARS Recruitment are seeking a Fully Registered Psychologist to join an established team based in a multidiscipline educational centre on Sydney's Northern Beaches!
The role is open for a fully Registered Psychologist (AHPRA) with a minimum of 2 years' experience in paediatric mental health to join the centre on a permanent part time basis.
Full time or Part time - Open to full time clinicians and 0.8 FTE 4 days

This team focuses providing therapeutic mental health support to children and families who live with conditions such as ASD, ADHD, grief management, anxiety, family conflict, developmental delays and more.
The role:
In this role, you will primarily be responsible for the provision of specialist therapeutic assistance to children working collaboratively with carers and support workers and other members of the child's care team.
You will apply practical strategies to improve relationships, behaviour, and life at home gives parents and carers a better understanding of their children's needs. You will be well-versed in supporting children affected by family issues, as well as those struggling to manage their emotions, navigate friendships, and develop healthy self-esteem.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- You will provide a positive, responsive and evidence based therapeutic support to children from ages 3-16 in and educational centre environment.
- This support will be focusing on building rapport with children and offering a safe and engaging environment for you to assist with their needs.
- You will define areas of concern and assist parents, carers and support members to create individually tailored plans to optimise health and wellbeing.
- You will continue to work in partnership with families and carers to offer a genuine and effective service.
- You will have the ability to develop high quality, effective positive therapeutic support plans, focused on improving quality of life, increasing independence, and essentially creating methods to decrease or ease any areas of concern.
- You will have the ability to work within an ever-changing team environment and playing an active role in the business growth and development, with clear pathways to leadership.
- You will be an active member of the health team, working cooperatively and respectfully with all external stakeholders.
- Facilitate any referrals and contact with external professionals as required and or internal team members of alternative health disciplines.
- Have a genuine passion for working with children and bring creativity and optimism to a vibrant, knowledgeable and passionate team.
The right candidate will:
- Be a fully Registered Psychologist with 2+ years of experience supporting children and adolescents.
- Be registered with the relevant professional bodies and hold COVID-19 Vaccination, NPC and WWCC and NDIS workers check.
- Have the ability to give children, their parents and teachers the practical strategies they need to successfully navigate the ups and downs of preschool, school and life.
- Demonstrated ability to support children with a variety of clinical needs, including early intervention and emotional regulation challenges
- Have great people and communication skills
