The role will manage the project approvals process for our Pluto expansion project, which includes Pluto Train 1 modifications and Pluto Train 2 projects. Additionally, the role will also support project deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders and establish and maintain project Regulatory Approvals, compliance plans and registers in accordance with our Regulatory Compliance Management procedure.The role is offered as a 12 month fixed term opportunity on a part time basis, comprising of 2.5 days per week. There is flexibility as to how the work is delivered during the week and this can be discussed during our selection process.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Working with internal subject matter experts and contractors to monitor the registers of project approvals ensuring approvals are obtained, regulatory obligations are identified and issues are raised in a timely manner
  • Maintain Woodside's Integrate Risk & Compliance System (WiRCS) to ensure approvals are recorded and assigned, license expiries are managed, reviewing monthly system reports and regulatory communications are captured
  • Support in the preparation and submission of Regulatory Approvals as required
  • Verify contractor's adherence to regulatory compliance obligations and associated contractual obligations
  • Review Project Change Requests (PCRs) to ensure the any project change that has a regulatory impact is identified and managed
  • Attend project schedule meetings, monitor changes in schedule, ensuring any change with a regulatory impact are identified and communicated appropriately
  • Developing register of approvals to be handed over to Asset and Operations on conclusion of project ensuring associated obligations (actions / renewals) are assigned
  • Review regulatory change request for changes in law that may impact the project
  • Supporting project subject matter experts by attending meetings with regulators and assisting with preparation and submission of selected approvals
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the Scarborough/Upstream Regulatory Compliance Adviser when required
  • Manage Regulatory Approval risk for each project
Skills & Experience:
  • Degree qualified or equivalent tertiary qualifications preferred, with relevant work/industry experience in Regulatory Approvals within the resource industry such as Engineering, Environment, HSE or Legal
  • Significant experience and subject matter expertise in the identification, procurement and management of Regulatory Approvals in the resource industry for large-scale projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of State and Federal legislation, policies and processes related to regulatory compliance for petroleum activities, including a practical understanding of relevant legislative frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in interfacing and influencing regulators, stakeholders and senior management
  • Strong communication and technical writing abilities
