About the Role
Working with the Regulatory Services Manager, the Regulatory Services Operations Lead is responsible for the leadership and management of a range of programs and services that contribute to the delivery of the City of Palmerston Community Plan including:
- Animal Management by-law enforcement
- Public Places by-law enforcement
- Signs, Hoardings and Advertising by-law enforcement
- Parking Regulation enforcement
- Regulatory Services Education Program support
- By-law Investigation, Legal Brief and Prosecution
- Liquor Application review and response
- Education and Policy initiatives
About You
- Extensive experience in roles such as Ranger or By-laws Officer
- An extensive animal management background, with an emphasis on animal welfare and community education
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with relevant software applications
- Ability to develop, write and implement effective policies and procedures
- Proven leadership in conducting investigations, preparing reports, and providing recommendations
- The ability to resolve complex and sensitive issues
- Experience working in a diverse and cross-cultural environment
- Proficiency in interpreting and enforcing relevant Northern Territory Government and Council regulations
- A strong understanding of Work, Health, and Safety protocols
- A current Northern Territory Driver's C Class Licence
