Are you ready to take the next step in your career with Port Waratah? We have an exciting opportunity for a Rehabilitation Project Manager to join our newly created Strategic Projects Team at our world-leading material handling facilities in the heart of Newcastle.
In this new role, you will lead the rehabilitation efforts for our non-operational licenced waste facilities and the Carrington terminal (due for lease renewal in 2031). This will include planning, scoping and delivering decommissioning, demolition and rehabilitation requirements for both projects. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, this key position requires a strategic and commercial approach, involving options analysis, risk-based decision-making, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, and applying best practice project and change management. Join us in this essential role where your expertise will drive the success of these critical Rehabilitation Projects. This role will work closely with a newly created Environmental Approvals & Rehabilitation Advisor role in delivering project objectives.

To be successful you should bring a proven track record in project management in rehabilitation, demolition, closure planning or similar. You will be experienced at managing projects from initiation through to execution, commissioning, and handover, applying best practice project management. Great commercial acumen, communication skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities will ensure your success. Experience in heavy industry, along with relevant qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering is essential.
