Strong focus on Heavy Mobile Equipment
A new role has recently become available working for a reputable mining client based in the Pilbara. This position will require you to travel to site, being heavily involved in setting up the reliability frameworks for mobile equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maximising the reliability and performance of our fleet of heavy mobile equipment, contributing directly to the efficiency and productivity of their mining operations.
Your responsibilities:
- Implement and manage a comprehensive reliability program for heavy mobile equipment, including trucks, loaders, dozers, and drills.
- Conduct root cause analysis and failure mode analysis to identify and address equipment reliability issues.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies to minimize unplanned downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective maintenance activities.
- Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to monitor equipment health and identify trends for proactive intervention.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, availability, and maintainability.
- Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting and resolving equipment reliability issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to equipment reliability, including maintenance procedures, equipment histories, and performance metrics.
- Stay current with industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to equipment reliability and maintenance.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Strong understanding of heavy mobile equipment systems and components.
- Proficiency in Reliability Engineering principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proactive approach to driving continuous improvement.
- Background in assets management, HME, or mechanical engineering preferred.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations applicable to mining operations.
