Position Overview:
As a Reliability Engineer reporting directly to the Superintendent Engineering, you will be pivotal in optimizing plant and equipment efficiency across our operations. This position involves a Monday to Friday schedule, providing a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering Leadership: Guide and support our front-line leaders by enhancing their problem-solving skills using advanced tools and innovative technological solutions.
- Maintenance & Reliability: Collaborate with the maintenance and engineering teams to enhance the reliability and integrity of our infrastructure.
- Project Execution: Participate in the development and implementation of design and installation specifications, along with commissioning plans to ensure seamless project executions.
- Quality Assurance: Design and oversee acceptance tests and inspection protocols to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Innovative Diagnostics: Employ predictive and other advanced non-destructive testing techniques to proactively identify and address reliability concerns before they impact operations.
- Solution Development: Engineer and implement strategic solutions to recurring failures and other challenges that affect operational efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Foster strong professional relationships based on teamwork, respect, and mutual understanding.
- Continuous Improvement: Advocate for and implement continuous improvement measures to enhance work processes and promote a culture of progressive change.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities are executed safely and in strict adherence to established operating procedures.
Candidate Profile:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or aligned discipline.
- Professional Experience: At least 3 years in a similar role, preferably within the mining sector or other heavy industries.
- Skills Set: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of collaborative teamwork.
- Personal Qualities: Excellent communication abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and influential leadership capabilities.
