About the role
POSITION PURPOSE
The Graduate/Asset Officer is an opportunity for graduates or individual who are new to asset management to develop experiences and gain exposure in Asset Management functions in asset portfolio and asset information management. This position will have a focus on Asset Information Management System (AIMS).
Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Asset Planning, the role supports the planning and co-ordination of asset resources to ensure Eastern Health has adequate assets in place to safely serve our patients and clients.
(This is a 1 year fix-term program with opportunities for 1-2 year extension depending on project works)
MAJOR DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Asset Management activities for various clinical and non-clinical program such as:
- Support the review and develop of asset management plans;
- Implementation of improvement initiatives in accordance to the Eastern Health’s Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP);
- Monitoring and reporting of operational performance and service delivery targets related asset management activities;
- Maintaining the currency and accuracy of asset information and data ;
- Audits of assets and it’s information ;
- Liaise with other Health Services and workgroups related to asset management to ensure optimum outcomes;
- Support capital expenditure requests or supporting reports for business case or project brief;
- Providing appropriate, adequate and timely information and reports regarding works undertaken including budget expenditure;
- Preparation of reports on asset management issues including reports for the Board and senior management; and
- Undertake special projects, task or reports as required on a wide range of issues and perform all other duties as directed within the limits of skill, competence and training to maximise flexibility and effectiveness

- Qualifications in a relevant degree or diploma
- Demonstrated capability to coordinate numerous activities within a demanding environment

- Can balance working individually and collaboratively with internal and external teams
- Learning mindset with a positive can-do attitude
Desirable
- Diploma / Bachelor in Asset Management or higher
- Certified Asset Management Assessor
- Proficient Microsoft Power App and Power BI
