Relief Teachers required for Secondary School

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and committed Teachers to fulfil casual teaching roles to provide Relief Teaching in our Secondary School. 

Positions will suit both new and experienced teachers who are enthusiastic about engaging students in meaningful learning experiences, confident in the use of technology in the classroom, and have a desire to engage in a dynamic staff learning environment where the honing of one’s teaching practice is encouraged and facilitated.

Undergraduates in their final year of study are also welcome to apply.

What we need from you

Joining us, you will need to be qualified and authorised to teach in Western Australia. We will need evidence of your teacher registration with the TRBWA and your Working with Children Check (WWC).  If you haven’t been born in Australia, we will also need evidence of your citizenship or permanent residency. 

You will also need to be committed to providing a safe environment for and the protection of children and young people. All members of staff must fully satisfy child protection screening, be suitably qualified and adhere to all child related protection policies, Work Health and Safety policies and the Staff Code of Conduct.

We ask you to provide in writing:

  • A College employment application form (found on our website at www.qbc.wa.edu.au under Employment Opportunities)
  • A copy of your current WWCC and TRBWA registration
  • A copy of proof of citizenship/residency (where not born in Australia).
  • A covering letter and CV outlining their qualifications and relevant experience for the role
  • The names and contact details for two referees, one of whom must be the current or most recent employer
