About our School
All Saints Catholic College is the biggest Catholic school in the Sydney Archdiocese, and we are currently recruiting a temporary Religious Education Teacher. We are an innovative and creative learning community set across two campuses, Liverpool and Casula. About you
As an RE Teacher, you will be an energetic and innovative educator with a distinct focus on quality education and a commitment to enhancing 21st-century pedagogy.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate:
- understanding of the curriculum and the theology by which it is underpinned, by knowing key concepts, skills, pedagogy, subject-specific literacy and language and current issues pertaining to Religious Education
- capacity to enliven the values of truth, empathy, excellence, curiosity and collaboration in students with regard to the Mission and Vision of Sydney Catholic Schools
- ability to teach Religious Education
- differentiated pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning
- a willingness to undertake continued professional development and faith formation
- a willingness to assist and lead students in extracurricular activities like performances and exhibitions
- ability to actively support the College’s scholastic initiatives and promote its innovation in light of the Strategic Plan
- a willingness to undertake leadership mentoring and training from peers and develop and demonstrate strong professional relationships with colleagues.
You will have attained:
- a tertiary qualification in education
- eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- an Employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS
- Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
