AddressWe are currently looking to employ an Experienced Field Assistant and/or Auger Offsider to join our soil sampling and auger drilling operations in Western Australia. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in exploration OR a tertiary qualification (ie TAFE or Uni degree), and is looking to upskill. Graduate Geologists are welcome to apply.
About OZEX
OZEX provides exploration services to the Mining and Mineral Exploration industry. Since our inception in 2020 we have grown substantially and work with numerous exploration companies throughout Western Australia. As well as auger drilling services, OZEX as also completes geochemical soil sampling, field camp setups, database management and geological services.
Based at various sites across WA, we are looking for people to continue with our work soil sampling and auger drilling. Occasionally we work very remotely for a period of time in a small crew.
- The ideal candidate will have:
- The ability to work remotely as part of a small team
- LR license
- A good mechanical knowledge
- Experience using GPS and navigating in the bush
- Good computer literacy
- Previous camping experience
The candidate must, or be willing to:
- Be based in Western Australia, and have the right to work in Australia.
- Hold a valid Western Australian C class driver's license
- Be able to do physical work in remote locations - camping with swags
- Undergo a pre-employment medical
- Hold a Remote First Aid Certificate
- Hold a certificate to operate 4WD vehicles
- Submit a National Police Clearance
- Have previous experience as a field assistant or auger drilling
- Have a strong understanding of safety systems and have a good safety record
