This is a hybrid position giving you the flexibility to work from home and the office.Job DescriptionThe RoleWe currently have an exciting opportunity to join our growing Finance Team.The Assistant Accountant will support the Finance Team by processing financial transactions, compiling monthly management reports, and managing the Fixed Asset register and reconciliation. They will also assist in the budget/forecast process, provide analysis for executive reports, and coordinate monthly General Ledger reconciliations.In the role you will
- Provide high-level customer service and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, resolving needs or concerns promptly.
- Process financial transactions and accruals accurately and compile monthly management reports for review.
- Prepare and reconcile Foundation accounts, including monthly/quarterly reports and EOFY financial statements.
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, completing monthly and EOFY reconciliations.
- Deliver in-depth analysis and presentations of annual budgets, biannual forecasts, and 3 Year Forecasts.
- Lead and support budget and forecast setters and officers in the General Ledger reconciliation process.
- Comply with all relevant legislation, codes, and internal policies, and possess knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and GST regulations.
