The Role
We are actively seeking seasoned and driven Registered Nurses for contractual assignments, ranging from short to long-term durations. These positions involve delivering primary healthcare and emergency medical services to Indigenous communities in the remote regions of the Northern Territory and Western Australia. Opportunities are available on a flexible contract basis. Commencement dates are subject to variation based on the assigned location and the candidate’s availability; interested applicants are encouraged to request specific start dates.
In this role as a Remote Area Nurse, your responsibilities will encompass performing comprehensive patient evaluations, formulating diagnosis and treatment plans, administering prescribed medications and treatments, offering educational support to patients and their families on various health matters, and ensuring the meticulous upkeep of medical records.

Criteria:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
* Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse AHPRA with no restrictions.
Current ALS/BLS
REC (or equivalent)
MEC
Recognised Immunisation Provider Certificate
Pharmacotherapeutics certificate is desirable (or a RIPRN qualification)
* Experience: Proven background in Emergency Nursing and prior experience working in a remote or rural setting.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with patients and team members effectively.
* Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
While preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in Remote Area nursing, individuals with backgrounds in emergency or primary healthcare nursing are also encouraged to apply. Eligibility for these positions may be influenced by the candidate’s professional experience.
