About the role
This is a permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm position working 35 hours per week. This position is located at the Nowra Administration Building.
Duties
Reporting directly to the Water Regulatory Manager, the focus of this position is to:
- Interaction and collaboration with all members of Shoalhaven Water and other areas of Council in the support of activities undertaken by the position and staff of the Unit.
- Manage business relationships with stakeholders (internal/external) and customers.
- Provide high level administrative support, including reception of queries from internal/external stakeholders and customers.
- Use Council, Office 365 and industry software and applications to create, develop and maintain appropriate records.
- Assist with the review of Subdivision Plans including the 88B instrument for subdivision development matters relating to water supply and sewerage matters.
- Provide general and specific advice and guidance to customers relating to water and sewerage matters for the processing and granting of Certificates of Compliance for proposed and approved developments, specifically regarding the Local Government Act & Regulations (Section 64) and Water Management Act & Regulations (Sections 305, 306 & 307).
Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will possess:
- Certificate IV in Business or Business Administration; or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 12 months position related experience
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
