About the role

The Remuneration & Benefits team is accountable for remuneration policy, processes and systems, governance and award compliance, and our quarterly and annual achievement management process. 

As a Remuneration & Benefits Specialist you will work across the broad-based remuneration portfolio to provide advice and guidance to the People team and the broader business on our remuneration framework, policies and processes. You will perform detailed analysis and modelling of internal and external remuneration data to draw insights and support business decision making.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Provide advice and subject matter expertise to the People team in relation to team member remuneration, providing options and recommendations to answer questions and address complex problems.
  • Undertake internal and external remuneration benchmarking to support Leaders and the People team in remuneration decision making
  • Prepare company remuneration data and complete industry salary surveys using judgement and remuneration knowledge to map company data into external templates
  • Undertake remuneration governance activity to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and modern awards
  • Complex data modelling to support key remuneration activities, e.g. annual gender equity pay review and team member incentive programs
  • Ownership for the data management activities which underpin the annual salary review process.
  • Provide advice and subject matter expertise to the People team in relation to the quarterly and annual Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) process
  • Manage relationships with benefit providers and manage the promotion of employee benefits
  • Maintenance of key internal communication channels for the Remuneration team.

 

 

 

 

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in business or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in a remuneration role
  • Expertise in manipulating large data sets to generate insights
  • Advanced user of Excel
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced and complex organisation
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders & navigate sensitive matters
  • Effective organisational and time management skills with the flexibility to work to SLA’s and multiple deadlines
  • An exceptional team player attitude, willing to help others out in order to deliver for the business
  • Knowledge of remuneration frameworks and external market benchmarking
  • Understanding of and ability to interpret modern awards
