I'm representing an innovative renewable company in their search for a Development Engineer.
About the Role
I'm seeking a Renewable Development Engineer to support the development of wind/solar farm projects in WA, to assist in decarbonizing large processing facilities. You will be experienced on WindPro (or other Wind analysis software - WASP, Wind Farmer etc) and ideally PVSyst as well. You will be responsible for all aspects of wind resource assessment and wind data analysis including preparation of energy yield forecasts to support prospecting and development activities.
Responsibilities

• Conduct wind/PV analysis using WindPro (or WASP/WindFarmer), PVSyst and GIS Mapping Software
• Optimise the layout of the projects using wind, site and constructability inputs
• Conducting in house data analysis and energy yield forecasts using industry standard methodologies and software
• Peer review of wind and site analysis
• Interface with external consultants and due diligence providers
• Establish wind and solar measurement equipment through the use of contractors

Skills and Experience

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable etc.) or a related field
• Experience with WindPro, WASP, WindFarmer, PVSyst, GIS Software, CFD, land cadastre
• Ability to understand and manage complex technical issues
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
