MoTeC is renowned the world over as a leading designer and manufacturer of specialist automotive electronics, supplying the global motorsport industry for over 30 years. Our recent acquisition by the Bosch Group has brought about exciting new opportunities and an immediate need for expansion. We are looking for an experienced Repair Technician with a can-do approach to join our fantastic team.
The role will include the following:
- Test, troubleshoot and repair electronic circuitries in field returned units and production assemblies.
- Liaise with customers on warranty claims.
- Repair or provide diagnostic reports for rejected stock.
- Perform mechanical & electronic assembly of products including hand soldered circuit board assemblies.
- Provide feedback to Engineering on design related issues from field returns
- Provide technical support to production staff, sub-contract board assemblers and to our company dealers.
You will also need to possess the following skills/qualifications:
- A minimum 2 years experience in a repair role within a technical warranty or electronic assembly environment.
- Ability to identify electronic components and use schematics.
- Experience using various test equipment such as multi meters, oscilloscopes, logic probes, power supplies etc
- Experience in soldering/de-soldering through-hole and SMT components.
- Proficiency in cutting, stripping, tinning, and crimping cable & harness.
- Technical or Electronics certifications will be highly regarded.
