Full time fixed term (20 months) Research Officer role at Wollongong (Illawarra Shoalhaven LHD) and Camperdown - Job share / Part time considered
Contribute to high-quality clinical research at the Sydney Nursing School and Illawarra Shoalhaven in a Nationally funded MRFF grant focussing on brain injury
Base Salary $95,860- $103,341+ 17% superannuation

We have an excellent opportunity available for a Research and Project Officer to support Professor Kate Curtis and her research team to lead, facilitate and evaluate the outcomes of high-quality clinical research at the Sydney Nursing School (SNS). These duties will primarily be conducted as part of a large nationally funded MRFF grant
Your key responsibilities will be to:
ensuring effective AUS-mTBI study recruitment through the HeadCheck app
completing and coordinating the necessary ethics and governance approvals
liaising with partner organizations and community groups to promote the study
investigating and engaging with relevant social media groups, online community pages and other public stakeholders and media channels for cross-promotion.
create content and presentations that can be given to both scientific and lay groups about the AUS-mTBI project, and deliver these presentations as required
work collaboratively with the larger team of researchers involved in the AUS-mTBI project to optimise recruitment.
undertake research administration related to activities at the University and LHD
About you
tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline
experience in managing research projects including grant applications, ethics submissions, data collection and management and reporting.
demonstrated understanding of and experience working in the health care system
demonstrated excellent organisational and administrative skills
demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as effectively as part of a team.
demonstrated ability to work flexibly and switch between tasks across a variety of work environments.
ability to prioritise workload, sometimes under pressure with competing priorities.
research publication record including in conducting scientific literary searches.
strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with the demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and stakeholders and to produce documentation which is clear and concise.
