YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE
Research Assistant - Clemons Laboratory
An opportunity exists for a highly motivated Research Assistant to join the Clemons Laboratory. Our mission is to improve outcomes for patients with gastrointestinal cancers, and this position will assist our broad program of research investigating biomarkers to improve outcomes for gastrointestinal cancer patients.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree (minimum - BSc (Hons)) in Biological Sciences or Molecular Biology, and have familiarity with a range of laboratory techniques. With an interest in cancer research, they will be an independent, highly motivated and talented individual, with a passion for conducting high quality research. They will bring to the position excellent communication, organisational and time management skills and a willingness to be occasionally flexible with their working hours.
The successful candidate will contribute towards a range of high-level research activities and have opportunities to further develop their research and professional skill. They will be expected to conduct rigorous, valid and ethical research, and to work closely with others in the lab to progress projects under the direction of project supervisors. Sound knowledge in database management and experience in working with human biospecimens, including their retrievals, will be an advantage.

This is a part-time position (0.4-0.6 FTE) for a fixed term of 12 months, with the possibility of extension. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
