About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Research Assistant to join the dynamic team at the Depression and Anxiety Neuroscience Group, based in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne. You will be at the forefront of groundbreaking research, delving into the neuroscience of mood and anxiety disorders and contributing to a project funded by the prestigious National Health and Medical Research Council. Working closely with leading experts in the field, you will gain invaluable experience in conducting research assessments, processing neuroimaging data, and fostering collaborations with various stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Participate in independent and team-based research, contributing to protocol development and ethics submissions.
  • Liaise with clinic staff and psychiatrists to facilitate study referrals and assist during treatments.
  • Coordinate MRI scans, collect participant data, conduct assessments, and securely manage neuroimaging data.
Who We Are Looking For
You excel in building and maintaining relationships, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Your clear communication and report-writing skills drive impactful contributions to research endeavors.
You will also have:
  • An Honours or post-graduate degree in behavioural or social sciences or a related discipline.
  • Experience contributing to independent or team-based research.
  • Highly developed organisational and time-management skills, including demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet project deadlines.
