About the Position:
As we expand and enhance our capabilities, we have an exciting opportunity for an R&D Tax Manager to join our specialist practice, soon relocating from South Melbourne to the CBD
In this role, you will engage in complex and strategic projects, delivering consulting and compliance functions efficiently and proactively. You’ll gain exposure to the latest innovations in R&D across various industries. Reporting directly to the partners, you will manage the R&D Tax team, playing a crucial role in our continued growth and evolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a growing team, including direct reports and contractors.
- Meet and liaise with clients to gather R&D information and supporting documentation.
- Prepare R&D applications, activity descriptions, and expenditure calculations.
- Apply R&D legislation to specific technical and expenditure aspects of projects.
- Provide guidance on R&D governance and documentation requirements.
- Assist with reviews or audits by relevant program regulators.
- Project manage the R&D application process.
What You Need to Succeed:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Commerce, Law, or a related field.
- Experience with R&D Tax Incentives in a consulting environment.
- Management or leadership experience is advantageous but not required.
- Strong client focus with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional communication and technical writing abilities, including report writing.
- A strong work ethic, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
