Digital Health
The Digital Health Research Lab recognises that our population is growing and aging, our hospitals are overburdened, our patient load is increasing, and our healthcare professional workforce is decreasing. The focus of the Digital Health Research Lab is to integrate smarter design processes and software solutions into mainstream healthcare and beyond through understanding and addressing human centricities, alignments, ethics and trust issues surrounding the integration of digital technologies in the form of AI and automation in healthcare.
About the Role
The Research Fellow - Digital Health CRC Program will work primarily on continuing the development and evaluation of innovative data analytic approaches for modelling time series data in the CareMappr Digital Health platform that is currently deployed independently in the mental health care sector, under the broad direction of the Chief Investigator and industry partners of CRC. The position will be responsible for liaising with the Software Engineers and PhD students to integrate machine learning applications in the software platforms. In consultation with the stakeholder, the position will contribute to ongoing project design and implementation, the analysis of data and the preparation of manuscripts for publication. The position will assist the Chief Investigator in coordinating consultations with Industry and Governments following the implementation of this project. The Research Fellow will co-supervise and support PhD students and Masters/Honours students from Flinders University. The Research Fellow will actively report on new and current research related to the research program, through generation of high-quality publications and conference presentations. In addition, the position will contribute to the preparation of applications for research funding and reporting activities.
About You
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

• Completion of a PhD or equivalent qualification in applied biomedical or health informatics, or any other field related to data science
• Strong programming skills in R or Python and demonstrated experience in cloud computing
• Significant experience in evaluation of Digital Health solutions using validated frameworks
• Demonstrated experience in using initiative, working with minimal supervision and ability to prioritise tasks to achieve objectives within timelines
• Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills and experience in collaborating and engaging with diverse stakeholders, industry partners and research team member
• Demonstrated experience to undertake collaborative research and establish and maintain effective relationships with staff and industry.
