- $113,646 base (pro-rata for part time) + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave
About the team
The Diabetes Education Team provides education and support to all women with diabetes, with the aim of preventing diabetes complications in women.
About the role
As a Diabetes Educator you will act as a clinical expert and an important member of the Diabetes Service, and an integral part of the multidisciplinary TeamCare Team. With the support of the Diabetes Team, you'll provide and coordinate best practice clinical care for women having maternity care, both as an outpatient and inpatient, and also provides consultation to non-maternity areas at the Women’s.
You’ll bring with you:
- Credentialed as a Diabetes Educator, or working towards
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Div 1/Registered Midwife
- High level communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels
- Competent computer literacy including Microsoft Office software, and other software applications such as IPM
- A high level of comfort working with a very broad spectrum of people encompassing, staff and consumers
- Understanding of and commitment to, the organisation’s strategic direction, and relevant policy/standards in Diabetes Services
