The Research Officer is responsible for providing research and administrative support and assisting in the delivery of cardiac related research projects that contribute to the achievement of the QAS’s strategic and business goals. The Research Officer will support the Research Fellow, Cardiac Outcomes Program within the Information Support, Research and Evaluation (ISRE) Unit, contributing to the Unit’s response to the strategic and emerging research needs of the QAS.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Demonstrated knowledge of research strategies in a health services or clinical environment.
- Demonstrated ability to independently conduct research, analyse information and make recommendations based on evidence, contributing to the development of work plans and team goals, and the development of the evidence base used to inform practice improvement for a diverse organisation.
- Demonstrated efficiency in coordinating data processes for research purposes.
- Proven ability to set priorities, work under pressure and achieve project deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, work cooperatively, effectively and collaboratively within a team environment and deliver work of high quality, validity and accuracy to achieve team outcomes.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and utilise discretion in the absence of decision makers and meet deadlines and establish work priorities to maximise efficiency, work output and meet the changing needs within the team.
