We are busier than ever and searching for our next Superstar Reservations Manager- Restaurant and Bars to join our rapidly expanding, innovative and award-winning Food & Beverage Team!

About the role

Working in a fun and lively environment and reporting to the Head of Food & Beverage. The Reservations Manager- Restaurant and Bars is an effective, hands-on leader, within our experienced team. Managing the successful and professional execution of all services and events in a manner that exceeds our guest and employee expectations alike. This role is primarily focused on the administrative side of the food and beverage operation but will also include operations duties in the outlets when required. 

Responsibilities include:

  • manage rostering and timesheets for the Restaurant & Bar Admin Team.
  • ensure the smooth, efficient and successful execution of all operations and events within the venues
  • ensure all meal period information is prepared and organised for upcoming sessions
  • manage sales in the online shop 
  • assist in the creation of special events and manage ticket sales through Eventbrite
  • manage phone calls, emails and guest feedback for all restaurants & bars
  • supervise assigned personnel when required, ensuring staff presentation and duties are performed in accordance with Doma's guidelines and procedures
  • maintain continuous and effective inner-departmental communication
  • ensure communication with other hotel outlets remains clear, effective and professional
  • ensure all F & B charges are finalised post event and balanced in Opera
  • control all costs and expenditure within the department to ensure budget expectations and targets are met i.e. beverages, payroll, consumables
  • maintain the reservation systems through-out all F & B outlets
  • work closely with the hotels marketing team to drive promotions
  • ensure OH&S procedures are adhered to for all departmental staff

What you will bring

A guest service expert, with a keen eye for detail. Naturally, your previous experience in managing staff and or operations in various food and beverage outlets, will come highly regarded. As will the following:  

  • knowledge and skills at a level adequate to train their staff
  • advanced time management skills and ability to managing other competing priorities
  • motivation to build strong rapport with guests and colleagues through effective communication
  • leadership and mentoring capabilities to continue on building on our inclusive and supportive team
  • experience in a front of house restaurant environment         
  • current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
  • experience managing Eventbrite, Opera, iVvy and SevenRooms
  • Hospitality qualification desirable 
  • excellent personal presentation and presence
  • willingness and ability to exceed expectations
  • A passion for food, and beverage in a luxury hotel environment
