Full-time (average of 38 hours per week)

You will be required to conduct bushfire fuel reduction programs, including the installation and maintenance of fire breaks and manual, chemical or mechanical vegetation treatments.
You will also be responsible for undertaking inspections and audits of Bushfire Mitigation treatments and fuel load assessments on City-managed lands.
You will have sound knowledge and experience in conservation and land management and Bushfire Mitigation practices, including fuel load management. Knowledge of and or training in fire behaviour and suppression techniques are desirable for this role.

Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment or able to work alone under direction
Sound communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work in accordance with WHS and industry obligations
Experience in the maintenance and safe operation of various parks and gardens related plant and equipment
Current ‘MR’ Class driver’s licence
Construction Induction Training (White Card)
This position offers a gross wage of $1,343 per week (incorporate all allowances and penalty rates), and:
11% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
