Job description

Access Care Network Australia

Salary: $78,724 plus super as well as a fully maintained vehicle (contribution from salary packaging amount of $15,899 per annum for personal use).

We are looking for dedicated and passionate First Nations applicants to join us. This is an Indigenous Identified Role. ACNA recognises that being of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent is a genuine occupational requirement for this position, as outlined in s25 of the Anti-Discriminations Act 1991 (Qld).

Location: Brisbane, Caboolture, Sunshine Coast and beyond!

Based in Brisbane, Caboolture or the Sunshine Coast and you love to travel? This role is a mix of working within Brisbane and spending a large part of your time traveling to regional, remote and rural parts of Australia to interview residents in Residential Aged Care Homes.

What's the role?

Embark on something a little different to your current role. Work on a major, national aged care project as a Resident Experience Interviewer and/or Assessor with the opportunity to work across other programs such as aged care assessing. What might this look like? Here is a typical week.

  • Use your existing customer or community service skills to have meaningful interactions with residents and their carers across Residential Aged Care Homes and document this interaction using digital tools.
  • Receive full training to work across other programs in ACNA including our assessment programs in aged care involving face-to-face work in client’s homes and/or via telephone
  • Work independently each day in facilities, connecting with your whole team weekly and staying connected via MS Teams every day.
  • Contribute to future reforms in aged care using your daily work and the feedback you provide that will be shared directly with the Department of Health and Aged Care.
  • Dip into learning experiences and team experiences to expand your knowledge, networks and career.
  • Help us to challenge the status quo and look for ways to make an even bigger impact.

Please review the Position Description at Ethical Jobs (www.ethicaljobs.com.au) by typing ‘ACNA’ or ‘Access Care Network Australia’ into the Keywords field. It's easy to apply from there too. Simply click ‘Apply now’ and you'll be taken to the application form.

Who are we looking for?

You are a great communicator, a great independent worker (and really really love being part of a wider team) and are ready to spend your days talking with older people and using methods that represent the voice and needs of an older person.

People will have called you all sort of different names. Authentic. Fun. Genuine. Brilliant. Approachable. A little bit cheeky. Helpful. Caring. Lovely. Relentless.

We want to ensure you are a great fit for ACNA, and are looking for people that align with our values of supporting people to be their best and always striving to learn, improve and grow. Hiring people whose values align with ours enables us to build awesome teams who create the best outcomes for our clients.

Before starting work with us, as part of the compliance process, you will need to undertake a national police check, complete a pre-placement health questionnaire, undergo reference checks, provide evidence of your current driver’s licence, COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people in some cases.

Sound interesting?

We have a recruitment process full of activities so you can try the role on for size.  To help you consider your suitability for these roles, we have included the Position Description and the Minimum Criteria that relates to this project at Ethical Jobs (www.ethicaljobs.com.au). Type ‘ACNA’ or ‘Access Care Network Australia’ into the Keywords field to find the advert. It's easy to apply from there too. Simply click ‘Apply now’ and you'll be taken to the application form.

About ACNA

Our charter says…

Access Care Network Australia provides assessment, coordination and case management services to connect eligible people with supports that build on their strengths.

But don’t let the jargon fool you. We're in business to change lives.

We do that by helping our clients (and their families) get the support they need to live life their way.

What does it take to do what we do?

3 things. People. People and people.

First, only hire in the words of clients – “amazing beautiful souls” and never, ever, break that rule! Our recruitment process is unashamedly tough (and our training is even tougher!) because what we do at ACNA is a privilege – not an obligation. So, we only hire people when we are absolutely confident they’ve got what it takes to make a difference. Think you do? Then join us!

We can only achieve when our teams are truly reflective of the diverse communities we serve. The more diverse and inclusive our teams, the better we are at serving people from every background. That's why we're specifically looking for dedicated and passionate First Nations people to join us.

Last of all, you need to measure success in people, not data points. We’re yet to find a data point that captures the life-changing impact of an assessment that gives a daughter’s 92-year-old father the renewed confidence to live independently. But each and every day we get a front row seat to these amazing client stories that remind us all why we’re here (and the life-changing power of really great assessments!).

With all our focus on people you might get the impression we’re anti-technology. Not at all! But in delivering over 400,000 assessments we’ve found technology comes second to the power of conversation.

What makes us tick?

Simple. We want people to be their best.

But at ACNA this isn’t something we just write on a poster: ‘being our best’ is a way of life. It’s our credo. It’s a life-long personal commitment to be…

Always learning

Always growing

Always sharing

We can only achieve when our teams are truly reflective of the diverse communities we serve. The more diverse and inclusive our teams are, the better we are at serving people from every background.

Choose ACNA!

We could insert a spiel here demonstrating what a great organisation we are to work for, but instead we invite you to listen to stories from our team in our Podcast [cut and paste this link into your browser https://open.spotify.com/show/5hIL7D7rFaVs11TWC1boj5?si=3f4d15f9589d404f].

Sure, we work hard and have contractual KPIs to meet, but we also want you to have a great work experience with ACNA and leave us better off than when you arrived through the provision of great learning opportunities and clear connection to the senior leadership team.

Ready to Apply?

Simply answer the survey we have created to collect all the necessary information. We really want to see your application, but the SEEK reply doesn't land in our inbox! You need to copy and paste this URL into your browser https://acnavalues.typeform.com/to/C0stHZct. No letter or response to selection criteria is required, but do be ready to attach your CV.

Our recruitment process is a little different to most and we use lots of activities to give you an opportunity to understand the way of working and your typical day.

Key dates:

  • We will host 1-hour online Group Video Discussions (GVDs) between 18 March - 5 April 2024.
  • If you're successful in the GVD phase you'll be required to attend our in-person Recruitment Centre (about 2.5 hours in total) on Wednesday 10 April in Brisbane (venue tbc).
  • Compliance checks take roughly 2 weeks to complete.
  • If successful, your start with us will be Monday 22 April 2024.

We are committed to building great teams that are truly reflective of the diverse communities we serve. If you require adjustments or support during the recruitment and selection process, please don’t hesitate to email a member of the HR team at ***********@acna.org.au or call 1300 972 920 to discuss.

Applications for this role close 11:59pm on Wednesday 3 April 2024
