Overview
We have a great opportunity for a Residential Care Attendant to join our dedicated team in providing a direct client service to residents of the Residential Care Home.
This will include providing assistance with bathing, showering, personal hygiene, dressing and grooming of residents, along with toileting and continence management; help with feeding residents and maintain their mobility/dexterity through transferring and lifting, including the use of mechanical aides.
Duties may include bed making, cleaning of equipment, aids, utensils in work area (including personal possessions), and distribute clean laundry and personal attire; Providing input into resident assessment and recording general observations, you will help to identify diversional therapy needs of individuals and/or groups and complete routine documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Eligibility
Applicants will need effective interpersonal and communications skills to relate to people from different cultures, backgrounds and circumstances; have the ability to work well within a team environment, providing assistance and co-operating with other staff; good time management skills and ability to use discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
