The Department of Communities is looking for people to join our team of Residential Care Workers caring for at risk young people in Residential Care setting. These homes support young people in care to be safe and stay connected to their family, culture, and country. Employees will receive comprehensive training and will be strongly supported by the team in their everyday work.
No day is the same. This is an active job where you will support children and young people in day-to-day living, and encourage personal growth and development of life skills. Tasks include: Creating a safe and caring environment Participating in recreational, sporting activities and outings Assisting children and young people with life skills and their education Household cooking and cleaning Administrative duties – timesheets and reports Participate in ongoing training and development

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for permanent, fixed term and casual opportunities that arise within the next twelve (12) months.
