This will be offered on a Fixed-Term, Part-Time basis at our Young Women’s Program in Armadale. The successful applicant may work weekends if the service requires it.

As a Residential Support Worker, your duties and responsibilities will be:
- Coach and mentor young women in self-care and promote independent living skills in all relevant areas, such as parenting, health, hygiene, food preparation, budgeting, etc.
- Maintain a safe, consistent, and welcoming environment with routines, predictability, and clear and therapeutic expectations.
- Support with intake assessments, care plans and other case management tasks as directed by the Team Leader.
- Create and implement workshops and individual sessions that promote independent living, parenting and healthy living skills.
- Comply with program processes, including working collaboratively and professionally with the Department of Communities - Child Protection and Family Support and other key stakeholders.
- Attend internal team, Youth Service and Parkerville meetings, training and external networking meetings and events.
In order to be successful for this role, the applicant will have:
- Certificate III in Youth Work or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate and liaise effectively with young women, families, and others relevant stakeholders.
- A current “C” class license.
