About the role?
With our pipeline of new land evolving over the next 10 years within the Redlands, this presents an opportunity to join our expanding team as a Sales Estimator for residential construction. We are currently seeking a Sales Estimator to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with experience in sales estimating and a background in production estimating to support the team.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
- Determining competitive and accurate estimates to achieve margin and financial targets
- Understanding and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
- Preparing a Bill of Quantities listing the individual components required to construct the project
- Collaborating with sales, design, and build teams to ensure alignment with company goals
- Maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge, including regulations and compliance, for accurate estimations
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate market-competitive rates
- Providing ongoing feedback and reporting to production estimating and leadership on project cost performance
- Supporting production estimating as required
- Contributing positively to Fiteni’s culture and core values
What are we looking for?
To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Experience and results in an Estimator or similar role
- Knowledge of BCA codes and council requirements
- Experience with custom/luxury homes
- Proficiency in estimating software, particularly Databuild
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Initiative to continuously improve processes

Preferred:
- Industry and/or building experience within the construction industry
- Experience with medium density residential projects
- Workflow software experience using Onsite Companion
