About the opportunity
The Sales Estimator works closely with the supportive Brighton estimating team. The key focus of this role is to accurately determine and calculate quantities required for single dwelling residential designs. More specifically, you will:
- Estimating on a range of homes including single storey, split-level and double-storey designs
- Generation of site costs including cut/fill operations and dropped edge beam and/or dropped garage calculations
- Completion of sales tenders on registered and unregistered land utilising site inspection photos and reports, satellite photos and street view by near map
- Reading and interpreting construction plans
- Creation of pre-contract variation pricing
- Appraisal of external reports to assist you in costing each project
About you
You will share a passion for our purpose to be the leading residential builder in the State and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate:
- Strong numeracy skills
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience with a high-volume project home builder
- Experience in accounts payable or purchasing
- A formal qualification in building or a trade certificate desirable
- A sound understanding of local council and developer requirements
- Confidence when working to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining robust attention to detail
- A sound knowledge of Australian Construction Standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- An ability to work unsupervised
