Australasian homes are renowned for quality and have built up an excellent reputation around the Hervey Bay region, with a vast network of quality trades, repeat business and high-level support to Supervisors by an experienced office-based team.
With a controlled growth phase underway, we are looking for an experienced Residential Supervisor to come on board and deliver quality homes around the region.
The Projects
- Caboolture/ Morayfield/ Mango Hill/ Woodford
- 10-15 builds at a time max
- Retail/Investment/NDIS
- Low sets/Single level homes
- 20- 24 week approx. build times
- Quality, repeat trades
- Average contract value $300k - $400k
- Non client-facing
The Role
- Manage sub-contractors by locating, evaluating, and selecting sub-contractors; monitoring and controlling performance.
- Perform all construction tasks necessary.
- Meet operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction management system improvements.
- Meet construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; and implementing corrective actions.
- Accomplish construction project results by defining project purpose and scope; calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating staff and sub-contractors; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing change orders.
- Update job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging construction practices and standards.
- Regular reporting to the Construction Manager
- Minimise defective works & rectify defective works as a matter of priority.
The Person
- 2+ years’ experience as a Site Supervisor, delivering new homes for an established building company
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Able to manage a volume of 10-15 builds at a time and maintain efficiency, quality and cost targets
- Use of Onsite Companion
- Excellent construction knowledge and in depth understanding of the full build cycle
- A trade qualification in carpentry (or similar)
- QBCC Supervisor Licence or higher
- Able to coordinate and lead subbies to deliver works in line with the schedule and to the quality required
- A team player with the drive and attitude to manage own workload and achieve agreed targets and timeframes
